Our lawful basis
We process personal data where you have given consent, or where it is necessary:

- for our legitimate interests, or those of a relevant third party, such as running the Charity and replying to people who contact us.
International transfers
Some of the organisations that provide services to us may store or process personal data outside the UK. Where this happens, we take appropriate measures to make sure your data stays protected, as UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to meet our legal, contractual and regulatory obligations and to protect our legal interests. We review the information we hold every year.
By law we must keep basic contact, identity, financial and transaction records for six years for tax purposes.
Keeping your data secure
We have suitable procedures in place to prevent unauthorised access to, or disclosure of, the personal data we hold.

- to have inaccurate data corrected;
- to have your data erased;
- to restrict how we process your data;
- to data portability;
- to object to our processing; and
- not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
To exercise any of these rights, please email malka@our-kids.org.uk. There is normally no fee. We may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse the request, if it is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.
We may ask you for information to confirm your identity before we act on a request. This is a security measure to make sure personal data is not disclosed to anyone who has no right to receive it.
We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. If a request is particularly complex, or you have made several requests, it may take longer; if so, we will tell you and keep you updated.
